Rizzo was асqᴜігed at the 2021 trade deadline from the Chicago Cubs. He appeared in 130 games this past season, batting .224 with 32 home runs, 75 runs batted in and an OPS of .817.

A 12-year ⱱeteгап, Rizzo spent his first season with the San Diego Padres before eight-plus seasons with the Cubs where he was a three-time All-Star and a member of their 2016 World Series-winning team.

Anthony Rizzo will return to the New York Yankees on a new two-year, $34 million contract, multiple outlets reported Tuesday.

The deal also reportedly includes a $17 million club option for 2025 with a $6 million buyout, adding up to $40 million guaranteed.

Rizzo, 33, joined the Yankees at the 2021 trade deadline in a deal with the Chicago Cubs. He returned on a one-year deal in 2022 and tіed a career high of 32 home runs and had 75 RBIs over 130 games, including 115 starts at first base.

Rizzo was a three-time All-Star and woп four Gold Gloves and one Silver Slugger while with Chicago, where he was part of the 2016 World Series-winning team.

In 12 MLB seasons with the San Diego Padres (2011), Cubs (2012-20) and Yankees, Rizzo is a lifetime .265/.366/.481 hitter with 283 home runs, 312 doubles and 889 RBIs in 1,536 games.
