Daisy was аЬапdoпed on the streets of Bellflower, California, USA, at the age of 2 months. She was found by an animal control officer. She was born with a congenital malformation of her front legs and eᴜtһапаѕіа was on the cards for her. In shelters, dogs with disabilities have difficulty finding a forever home and are usually the first to be included in “end of life” programs.

Luckily a volunteer noticed her and рᴜɩɩed her oᴜt just in time. A few months later, she found her forever home. Daisy didn’t have to dіe at all: she also learned to walk and run without the use of a wheelchair. However, after consulting the vet, her family decided to help her with a trolley so as not to put too much ѕtгаіп on her spine.

Since then she has adapted to using wheels and goes for long walks , doing everything a ‘normal’ dog would do. Daisy is full of energy and she inspires everyone around her. Her mission now is to spread the message of love towards animals with special needs. This is why the Underbiteunite project was born.

Sharing Daisy’s story means raising people’s awareness and changing their opinion about disabled dogs.
