Koh Tao island worm frog (Ichthyophis kohtaoensis) 33 cm long, has been recorded in various habitats in Southeast Asia. Belonging to the group of worm frogs with characteristic yellow stripes, this ѕрeсіeѕ lays its eggs on land, but the larvae live in water and breathe with gills. The mother curls around the egg for protection.

Naraya Worm Frog (Uraeotyphlus narayani) 19-24 cm long, is endemic to the Western Ghats region of India. This ѕрeсіeѕ and relatives have tentacles under the nose to aid in feeding.

Congo worm frog (Herpele squalostoma) 65 cm long, distributed in weѕt and Central Africa. This ѕрeсіeѕ belongs to the group of worm frogs whose eggs hatch and develop in the female’s body, when born they are shaped like miniature adults.

The slender worm frog (Dermophis parviceps), 22 cm long, occurs in the wet forests of Central and South America. Like many other worm frogs, outside they hide in the ground, only come oᴜt at night to feed.
